They say truffle season is the best season. I don’t disagree. However, ruffles are a very close second best.
I wouldn’t want to ruffle anyone’s feathers, unless it’s in the form of ruffle tops like the one I’m wearing from Three Dots. This is a brand that I’ve fallen for, and I have already worn this lil guy on three separate occasions. The Three Dot’s collection pieces this Spring are incredibly easy to wear, I love their soft jersey tees and tanks. This asymmetrical top has been my favorite though and the movement you get with the ruffles are just plain fun.
You know me by now, I always dress down. But anytime I want a bit of oomph into what would be a simple outfit, you best believe I count on Three Dots to elevate all the basics. Always.
This Spring I’m adding a little swagger to my step with the help of Coach. This little “swagger” bag is small but mighty with it’s detachable strap and hardware.
If you’re like me and have been a fan of Coach since way back when, you could imagine how happy I was to partner with them. Thank you Coach for this fun little bag. I’ve been toting it all over San Francisco, up hills and for matcha runs :)
P.S. I’m so happy that Boba Guys has now opened in my favorite SF neighborhood, Potrero Hill. They make a mean matcha latte and they nailed their interior from tile flooring to ceiling :D Hope to see you there one of these days, until then!
Happy New Year everyone, thanks for sticking with me all this time. It’s been a challenging year with Granny passing, lots of changes within the family, and juggling the highs and lows of being your own boss/art director/stylist/ etc. I like building something from nothing, all I have to do is light that match and let it ignite. I just wish some people were here still to see it all come to fruition, but I know they’re up there guiding me and looking over someway, somehow.
Thank you for being supportive as always, @Twelfthknight and family. Huge thank you to the brands that have helped make 2016 a successful one and to those who have continued to work with me into this year. A very big thank you to Rachel Radcliffe for shooting with me weekly, we’re a great team and I value your friendship and admire your tireless work ethic.
And of course, thank you to you my readers for supporting this blog and taking interest, I truly am thankful.
Here’s what’s coming up in the next few months, and I hope you continue to read and follow along on Instagram to catch all the fun. My goal is to do things I wanted to do in my 20’s that I never was able. With every brand and project, shoot and experience, I want to execute it with precision and spin a more creative lens. I am now 30. I traveled a bit last year, I hope to do more outside of the states, hopefully London and Japan…
9th-13th NY Fashion Week
22nd-26th Vegas / Desert
Wishing you all a Happy New Year and success in your own pursuits
Sometimes I feel like I’m always searching for some resolve or peace of mind. Maybe I’ve always been restless. Not sure what I’m always searching for exactly, but I know that to be completely content with oneself and where they’re at in life is quite rare. Striving for more but better yet figuring out how to get there is always on my mind, day in day out. If you’re anything like me, it’s exhausting am I right?
A few days in Paso Robles (2 hrs north of LA) with the furbaby and @Twelfthknight helped me reach some calm finally in a long time. Every dip in our hotel pool, a morning tour of Hearst Castle, and some really nice time spent wine tasting and eating…can’t get more relaxing than that.
Hearst literally built his dream. And so will I, one way or another.
As always, thank you for reading and keep striving :)
It’s a typical stereotype or maybe a fact by now that anyone in the fashion or production world wears black as their unofficial uniform. Black equates to blending in, you are a part of the behind the scenes after all.
Black is a stand alone powerful color. Most people men and women can agree that when you wear an all black ensemble you get a little tougher, you get things done faster, you look a little cooler, and it’s a seemingly effortless look.
Take this faux motorcycle jacket I snagged courtesy of Lulu’s. I put it on and I instantly felt like I could kick some ass. Amazing what a little black jacket can do. But you know what’s hard? Photographing an all black everything look. That’s why I am opting for a monochrome outfit nowadays.
Mixing a variation of white, black, and grey into one look can be fun and surprisingly easy, you just need to find some great fitting pieces such as this T shirt by Zoe Karssen or these shoes by Loeffler Randall. The best part is: you’ll look like a million bucks and you can always mix and match since they’re very complimentary.
Christmas came early for @Twelfthknight and I earlier this week when we took our little “Moobie” with us to Napa for an early Christmas/NY/2 year Anniversary trip :) It’s fun to go during offseason, you can beat all the traffic and the lines and eat and walk around as you please without the crowds. It was splendid, and we ate and ate like fiends.
Have a great week everyone, stay warm and be well.
Happy First Day of Fall everyone, tis my favorite time of year! This little post is a mashup of my favorite things: coffee breaks, work, and fall fashion. I apologize for being missing in action though, I took some time to recover from styling a commercial in Los Angeles as well as wrapping the whole thing. After being gone from set-life for a wee bit, I am happy to say I nailed it. Getting that confirmation from an all male production company as well as Client is really satisfying. Per usual no photos or more info until the actual thing airs, however this was my 3rd International shoot that I have single handedly been Wardrobe Head. for; this time shooting with Nongshim Co. the biggest instant noodle and snack company in South Korea :D The Dominos of Asia if you will. The commercial will air overseas featuring a certain known actor, he has a movie out now in theaters, maybe you’ve seen it already…but until then I can’t say much more….I hate that. *waits patiently.*
Anyhoo, now that I’m back in the Bay, it’s starting to feel like Fall…kind of? It was about 98 degrees and rising in Los Angeles and I’m happy to be incorporating some of my favorite Fall trends into my closet such as the color Blush (pullover from Banana Republic) and this awesome faux suede 70’s skirt from H&M. I don’t normally veer too far from my relatively basic neutral outfits, however I like these two trends and I think I’ll be wearing more of these skirts with some button down blouses and T shirts just to get out of my wardrobe rutt. Gotta stay fresh, people.
Hope you’re having a great week and as always thanks for reading!
