Time Out

I have been going and going until I’ve run myself sick, so I’ve been trying to slow down a little bit and can now recap my second half of Nevada. Per my last post, @twelfthknight and I ventured off the beaten path while in Vegas and happily took day trips outside of The Strip. Time is what you make of it, and I’m always looking for a little adventure or new perspective. We were able to see the local art installations and museums which was fun. I also made time for family and visited Uncle Mikey and the kiddos that Sunday evening before going back. This trip specifically has changed my perspective on Las Vegas and it’s not all that bad.

Life only seems to be moving faster, so thank you to Nicole Vienna for a new timepiece and for reminding me to slow down, take time for yourself, and spend it with the one’s who matter most.

A Change in the Air

Hope everyone is enjoying their day off today, I didn’t realize that it was Labor Day weekend to be honest. I’ve been a little preoccupied with other things as of late and time is slipping faster than I’d like it to. Without getting in too deep, I will just say that there have been lots of changes this week, you wouldn’t be able to tell through social media though.

I personally feel a change in the air, and I’ve felt a bit heavy all week. As we march into Fall, I’d like to thank Nicole Vienna for prompting me to reflect on a hard week, because quality time is what I value most. And though I won’t have more minutes or hours with the one’s no longer here physically, I know that my time was well spent and cherished.

Thank you for taking the time to read and I wish you all a nice week

So Clutch

Hi everyone, hope you had a nice weekend. Let’s get this week started shall we? I’m diving into my Fold Over Clutch from Australian Designer Nikki Williams, which holds just enough essentials to get through the day. You’ve probably seen this clutch popping up all over my Instagram feed lately, and a few blog posts back (I’ve been toting this thing up and down the Bay Area, and often times people will stop and compliment.) The people have spoken, it’s a winner.

Sometimes it’s nice to not carry a shoulder bag around. I’m a minimalist, so this roomy clutch is pretty handy when all you need is a driver’s license, keys, and phone, plus a lipstick or what have you.

Coffee o’clock

Monday mornings call for an extra dose of coffee. Provender is one of my favorite coffee shops in Potrero Hill, serving Andytown roasters and a mean avocado toast. It seats about 3 inside this little space and a little bench outside that’s next to the quaintest flower shop, Bell and Trunk Flowers. For a tiny tiny space, it’s perfectly designed and hidden from all the hustle and bustle.

What gets me through the morning? A strong latte, my sunglasses/bag of choice, and my Nicole Vienna Mesh piece that keeps me on time and my wrist oh so shiny. Someone even complimented my watch inside Provender, the people love this watch as do I :D

Hope you enjoy this little set. What morning essentials can’t you live without?

Falling for Fossil #FossilPartners

I remember back in the day when Fossil sold apparel, and after going through a rebranding strategy in 2015, Fossil has now discontinued their clothing to focus solely on what they do best: creating lifestyle accessories for both men and women.

This time piece from Fossil is the perfect casual wrist accessory as it pairs perfectly with their blush cross body bag as well. If you’ve been keeping up with me on Instagram lately, you’ve probably seen me toting this bag around the city during the day as it’s the perfect size to carry just what you need while on the move! (Links at the bottom of this post.)

Hope you’re enjoying the week and thanks for reading as always!

Time is Ticking: Nicole Vienna

Time is a funny thing. For starters, it’s free and yet priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can sure spend it. And when you’ve lost it, you can’t get it back. Allow me to give you some examples:

When I was in Middle School through High School, I would stare at the clock every day and hope and pray that time moved faster so I could either get to art class (my outlet) or get home. I had a terrible time in school growing up due to bullying, so little me always wanted time to move faster.

And when you’re young and you experience loss or are dealt with very difficult circumstances, you see time differently. There’s just not enough of it and you realize just how important time really is with those you love. This is precisely why time well spent with family takes such precedence for me, as I’m sure many of you can relate.

Flatlay-time-watch-gold

Moving out of my little city of Piedmont to Los Angeles was great, but also a literal measure of time. Graduating with my BFA (4 years) and working professionally for 5 years in “the business” amounted to a few months shy of a decade. But now that I think about it, time flew by so fast and I’m not sure that I can say that I used my time always to my advantage. Working hard is fine and all, but working smart is another. 12-14 hr days on set, running wardrobe as a free agent is ridiculous (some may say reckless) and exciting all at the same time. When you’re in your 20’s you feel like you can do everything all at once and take on the world, but realistically it comes down to luck and timing. And I realized much later, that my time was more precious than a flimsy paycheck for the work I did or the people that took my time for granted. Absolutely.

Currently, I’m using my time wisely and I feel like the momentum I’ve had with social media and this blog has been the best use of my time, dare I say ever. Why? Because the results are coming in quickly and I’ve gotten to meet a lot of interesting and relateable people through blogging, all over the world. I put in the time, the work and learning curves, and the return matches or exceeds. Rinse and repeat. I’m happy, and I only hope that by the time I turn 30 in October, myself and the blog will have grown even more with creative ventures.

Time-watch-gold

I’d like to thank you all for taking the time to read and follow along with me. I’m sure you can relate to this post so I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments!
